Sunday ride

I had a nice Sunday ride with my gelding Roany! (as you see above he is ready) He was so pumped up when we went we had to lope about 2 miles before he would calm down to enjoy the ride but after that it was nice until the New Mexico wind got up. I would say the weather was about 68 degrees! So nice, but without the wind. Roany got a good workout!

The country side out in this parts is so dry. We need to do an indian dance!! Dry, Dry, Dry!!!

This picture here is for PonyGirl at Pony Girl Rides Again she took a great picture of her chinks and so I decided I would do that before we went off on our ride. I love my chinks and wear them always!!!

Here is a funny picture of Max. He was super excited that we were coming back up the driveway!!!!

After the ride Max got a hose down and a big drink from the hose. He loves this, and the only workout he got was running up and down the fence line looking for Roany!!!! I'm sure the water taste real good from the hose. Remember when you were a kid and you drank from the hose. Sooooo good!!!

I too am jealous of your weather, wind or not! It is snowing here in Ohio as I write this. We are supposed to get up to 3 inches of snow today, up to 4 inches tomorrow then possibly more in the next few days! But the temp isn't so bad,it's in the 20's and that's better than below 0.
Nice chinks and as Sarah said nice color too! Ride for all of us who can't right now!
Gilly and Pokey are waiting for me to come and feed them; take care and have fun riding!

It was interesting to hear that you had to lope for 2 miles coming out of the shute on your ride. I can't remember ever having to do that with Jesse...usually have to try and just keep him awake. He is really mellow 95% of the time...though he does have his moments!
