I'm having a Mental Block!

For the last couple of months I have been in this rut! I am not in the spirit of designing and making jewelry for some reason. When I do go into my craft room, I just sit and stare at what I have and can not come up with anything!! Don't you hate that? Well I did make a couple of pieces the other day and I am happy to say I really like them!!! This one here reminds me of Santa Fe...the colors are really great.

This one I really do like also. I used citrine and I just love citrine with turquoise!!!!

Well I hope I get out of this rut and back into it soon! This is a good start! :) I hope you enjoy.

I love your jewelry! I have my eye on some but can't afford it right now, maybe someday!
Good luck with the mental block, but I think you are doing a great job!

Those are nice!! I get that way too, mental blocks, when I'm scrapbooking. I've found that I can actually come up with better ideas for other people than I can my own sometimes!! lol

I think "writers block" can happen to all of us in what ever we do. Low energy seems to be my biggest obstacle to being creative. Your break through necklaces are divine!

I love seeing your jewelry! I loved in the SW for years and adore the look you create! I live in the NW now - very different look!
Sometimes when I get blocked with my artwork I google a subject like - yoga, or an animal, the beach or even the desert and view lots of images. Some times it sparks something inside and it helps me out of the rut. Good luck! Maybe your muse is on vacation!!!

Those are beautiful!!! I love the Santa Fe necklace, I just plain love Santa Fe!
Those colors are my absolute favorite together.

Funny you mention a mental block. I have been there, too lately. I haven't even been writing in my blogs. Sometimes its just that time of year, Feb and March can be a drag no matter where you live. I scan through the Etsy pages and just sit there to see if something sparks my creative side. Sometimes even just looking at somebody else's creations can be fulfilling.

I don't wear much jewelry, but I always appreciate it. Your pieces are lovely.

I especially like that second piece! Simple and elegant.

Hooray for overcoming your block, for now at least! Hate those.
